Purna Chandra Mohrana was born in the historical village of Raghurajpur which is adjoining to the world famous Puri the land of Lord Jagannath. His schooling and other activities was held in Bhubaneswar where his father was Professor in Pattachitra & Palm Leaf carving at State of Government Odisha. Purna Chandra have learned Pattachitra, Tosser Painting & Palm leaf carving and other painting works from his father as well as Shilpa Guru Sh. Bhikari Moaharana.

At early school age, he was watching his father’s artistic work as it was a family traditional occupation. So, he had started drawing and colouring different papers and palm leafs. After take training in Pattachitra, Tosser Painting & Palm Leaf carving from his father.

He has been practicing this art since 3 decades and now has intensive experience in Pattachitra, Tosser Painting & Palm Leaf. Carving. Purna Chandra Mohrana have given demonstration and workshops in International Fairs and Craft Festival. He has trained several students under his expert guidance.
